Job summary

Cardiovascular Services of America (CVAUSA) seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Mesa, AZ, to work 4 days with 10-hour shifts. You will utilize state-of-the-art SPECT and PET/CT imaging to support advanced cardiac studies with a focus on accuracy, safety, and exceptional patient care.

Role includes patient prep, radiopharmaceutical handling, image acquisition, QC, and strict adherence to radiation safety and regulatory standards in a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Active ARRT(N) or CNMT certification.
• At least 3 years of nuclear medicine experience, including PET or PET/CT.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear explanations of procedures and help patients feel comfortable.
• Apply radiation-safety principles to protect patients and staff.
• Operate and adjust nuclear medicine and PET/CT equipment for exams.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per protocol; verify dosing.
• Monitor patients for reactions and respond appropriately.
• Acquire high-quality images and adjust as needed per physician guidance.
• Document procedures, doses, QC checks, and patient information accurately.
• Follow regulatory requirements for radiation safety and waste handling.
• Support daily workflow of the cardiac PET/CT program, including QA tasks.
