Aspirus is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Tower and Progressive Care Unit in Wausau, WI. This role focuses on high-acuity cardiothoracic and post-surgical patients, offering hands-on learning and opportunities to grow within a modern cardiac care environment.

Both new graduates and experienced RNs are welcome; the unit supports collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, IV drips, chest tubes, central lines, telemetry, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin or compact-state eligibility.
• Interest in cardiac, high-acuity, or critical care nursing.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred; training may be available if needed.
• New graduate and experienced RNs are encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Provide safe, compassionate care to complex cardiothoracic and post-surgical patients.
• Monitor high-acuity patients and recognize changes in condition.
• Manage IV drips, chest tubes, central lines, and advanced telemetry.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on quality outcomes.
