Job summary

Aspirus Health is expanding its Cardiac Tower and Progressive Care Unit in Wausau, WI, inviting qualified RNs to join a state-of-the-art team. This full-time role offers exposure to complex cardiothoracic and post-surgical patients, with opportunities to grow skills in a high-acuity PCU environment.

We seek compassionate nurses with Wisconsin or compact-state eligibility, BLS, and a keen clinical focus. ACLS is preferred; new graduates and experienced RNs are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin or compact-state eligibility.
• Interest in cardiac, high-acuity, or critical care nursing.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred; training may be available if needed.
• New graduate and experienced RNs are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to complex cardiothoracic and post-surgical patients
• Monitor high-acuity patients and recognize changes in condition
• Manage IV drips, chest tubes, central lines, and advanced telemetry
• Respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on quality outcomes
