Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Circulator for the Cardiothoracic Operating Room. This role requires taking call and includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a defined orientation schedule.

The RN Cardiothoracic OR Circulator provides comprehensive intraoperative nursing care under supervision, ensuring patient safety, advanced procedural support, and effective collaboration with the surgical team and anesthesia providers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN approved nursing program.
• Experience 1 year Operating Room RN experience.
• Licenses and Certifications: Texas license or NLC, BLS/CPR per AHA/ARC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patient health status on admission and throughout intraoperative care.
• Interprets health data to plan and prioritize intraoperative nursing care.
• Implements intraoperative nursing interventions and documents them timely.
• Evaluates interventions and adjusts plan of care as needed.
• Adheres to hospital policies and nursing standards while delivering intraoperative care.
• Provides patient education and documents it accurately.
• Supervises and coordinates care among healthcare team members.
