Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions seeks an experienced RN for the Cardiac OR in Rochester, NY. This role requires scrubbing and circulating for cardiac procedures, with 12-hour shifts from 7a to 7p, and strict adherence to sterile technique.

Candidates must have AHA BLS and ACLS, and a NYS RN license, plus 2 years of OR experience, ideally with Level 1 trauma exposure. The position emphasizes collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and turnover between cases.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current cardiac OR experience.
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and instrument handling.
• Experience with intraoperative monitoring and patient status reporting.
• Certification as Scrub Tech or circulating nurse preferred.
• Must be able to scrub and circulate in cardiac OR.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate cardiac OR cases, ensuring sterility and equipment readiness.
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and communicate updates to the team.
• Assist with preparing and verifying instruments, implants, and supplies before incision.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards at all times.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to optimize workflow and efficiency.
• Document case milestones and ensure accurate record-keeping for each procedure.
• Uphold accountability for personal performance metrics and contribute to pipeline visibility.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to standardization efforts.
• Maintain a growth mindset by seeking continuing education and professional development.
• Support post-operative debriefs, equipment checks, and turnover between cases.
• Demonstrate adaptability to high-visibility work environment with measurable targets.
