Job summary

MyStethi, LLC is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for an acute inpatient cardiac role at Coopeerman Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey. This per diem day shift position focuses on comprehensive assessments and coordination of care for cardiac patients in the service line.

The NP provides independent care in collaboration with physicians and staff, handling pre/post-procedure education, discharges, and ongoing management for both acute and chronic cardiology patients.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in New Jersey.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner in New Jersey.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• ACLS/BLS certification.
• Cardiac and/or critical care experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination and diagnostic test results.
• Develops and implements comprehensive care plans for patients undergoing cardiac procedures and/or admitted for further evaluation/treatment.
• Monitor patients' hemodynamic status, ordering, adjusting medications and interventions as needed.
• Provide pre and post procedure/ heart failure education and support to patients and their families.
• Facilitate discharges for cardiac service line patients.
• Provide education to staff and community regarding cardiac conditions and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, other NPs, nurses, and social workers
