Job summary

Cardiovascular Specialists of New England is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our outpatient team in New Hampshire. You will deliver safe patient care during Nuclear Cardiology procedures and collaborate with RNs and MDs to promote wellness and optimize outcomes.

Requirements include a Nuclear Medicine Technology program graduate, state licensure, ARRT or NMTCB certification, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience preferred.
  • PET preferred and SPECT required.
  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • State licensure in good standing required.
  • ARRT Registered or NMTCB Certified.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Full working knowledge of Nuclear Medicine equipment and Radiation Physics.

Responsibilities

  • Corroborates patient’s clinical history with procedure and documents it for licensed practitioners.
  • Prepares patient for procedures and provides instructions to obtain desired results.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed, in accordance with state laws and policy.
  • Operates radiation detection, imaging equipment to perform procedures.
  • Positions patient and equipment for optimal imaging while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
  • Evaluates image quality and ensures proper identification.
  • Provides physical and psychological support to patients during procedures.
  • Performs venipunctures and basic life support if necessary.
  • Assists staffing of other clinics when needed.
  • Performs other related duties to support mission and goals.
