Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks a Nursing Station Technician for the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. The position involves 12-hour day shifts, 60 hours every two weeks, and every third weekend, with a full benefits package.

Unit focus is the 35-bed Cardiac Telemetry Heart Center; responsibilities include patient care support, room setup, and unit operations under supervision of a registered nurse. Prior CNA/clinical experience is valued.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required; OnTrack Nursing Assistant or Fairview-sponsored program preferred.
• Six months of direct care experience in long-term, home, or acute care settings acceptable.
• Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program with at least one clinical rotation.
• Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification upon hire (not required to maintain after transfer).

Responsibilities

• Assist professional caregiver in delivering patient care, transport patients/equipment, set up and maintain patient rooms.
• Perform clerical tasks on unit desk, transcribe orders, order tests, and coordinate unit communications.
• Work under supervision of a professional nurse as part of Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles.
• Handle admissions/discharges/ transfers, answer phones, and stock supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service and teamwork on a fast-paced unit.
