Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a per diem Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to work with the Cardiac Surgical Service, 7a-5p, Monday to Friday. The APP will collaborate with Cardiac Surgeons, Intensivists, and nursing staff to manage patient care from pre-admission to discharge.

Responsibilities include care coordination, patient education, test coordination, and maintaining open communication across divisions. Requires MA license (PA/NP), MSN/PA degree, and acute care certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or PA studies required.
• MA license or APRN/PA licensure required.
• National certification in acute care APRN/PA.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and education for cardiac surgery patients under supervision.
• Coordinates pre- and post-operative assessments, tests, and referrals.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and prescribes medications as per policy.
• Maintains clinical documentation, communication with surgeons and care team, and discharge planning.
