Philips in Malvern, PA or Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Cardiac Monitoring Technician I to analyze ECG data, generate reports, and support clinical decision-making using IDTF software and ECG Solutions Wireless and Holter technologies. This hands-on role offers training and opportunities to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced health‑tech environment.

You will work four 10‑hour or five 8‑hour shifts, with rotations including evenings and overnights, after a four to eleven week training period.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Vocational Education is required.
  • 1+ year ECG interpretation experience.
  • Active CRAT or CCT certification (or must obtain within 180 days of hire).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to navigate multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, analyzes, and processes incoming ECG transmissions with IDTF software.
  • Identifies irregular rhythms and escalates cases as needed.
  • Reviews ECG recordings to distinguish normal/abnormal rhythms and documents findings.

Clinical Monitoring Technician I (Norfolk, VA or Malvern, PA)

As a Clinical Monitoring Technician, you’ll play a key role in improving patient care by analyzing ECG data and generating reports, all while gaining valuable hands-on experience with cutting-edge ECG Solutions Wireless and Holter technologies.

This role is eligible for a $4,000 sign-on bonus for candidates possessing a CRAT or CCT certification, with at least 1 year of ECG interpretation experience, and who successfully pass the internal ECG assessment conducted post‑offer.

Your Role
  • Receives, analyzes, and processes incoming ECG transmissions and related events using Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF) software, ensuring accurate technical evaluation and timely completion of processing.
  • Identifies and flags irregular or questionable cardiac rhythms by applying knowledge of cardiac patterns and utilizing software; promptly escalates cases to higher-level technicians or clinical staff for further review.
  • Reviews ECG recordings to accurately distinguish normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms, correlating findings with patient-reported symptoms or events and thoroughly documenting observations for clinical evaluation.
  • Ensures strict adherence to quality assurance standards for all analyzed ECG data, maintaining accuracy and reliability in every report.
  • Contributes to the success of the Clinical Monitoring department by meeting or exceeding performance standards and productivity metrics while maintaining accuracy, quality, and timeliness in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Availability/shift Requirements
  • Upon hire, training will be conducted over the first four (4) to eleven (11) weeks, Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm EST or 10:00am-6:30pm EST, led by an educator who may be onsite or virtual.
  • Upon successful completion of training, you will begin a 7 to 12-week ramp up stage and be assigned a regular shift of four (4) 10-hour shifts or five (5) 8-hour shifts.
  • Open availability is required, including rotating days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. While preferred shifts will be taken into consideration, final scheduling is based on business needs and cannot be guaranteed.
The Current Shift Schedules Are As Follows
  • 9:00pm-7:30am EST (4/10)
  • 11:00pm-7:30am EST (5/8)
You're The Right Fit If
  • You have a High School Diploma or Vocational Education; an active CRAT or CCT certification (if not certified/licensed, a CRAT or CCT certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire), RN license, or licensed Paramedic with current ACLS certification.
  • You’ve acquired 1+ years of experience in ECG rhythm interpretation.
  • Your skills include strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other computer systems, the ability to efficiently navigate multiple technical platforms simultaneously, strong technical acumen, a detail-oriented approach, and strong ECG rhythm interpretation.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You’re an excellent communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, work well collaboratively, and maintain accuracy and quality while managing multiple tasks and adapting to change.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Norfolk, VA is $21.00 to $32.00.

The pay range for this position in Malvern, PA is $22.00 to $33.00.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
