Job summary

Montclair Hospital Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a per diem Monitor Tech for night shifts in the Emergency Department. You will support nursing staff by monitoring patient rhythms, transcribing orders when needed, and helping prepare patient charts.

The role requires a high school diploma, a current BLS certificate, and a dysrhythmia interpretation certificate; six months of Monitor Technician experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education, experience, and credentials required for new hires.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS and a dysrhythmia interpretation certificate must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct monitors in the ED.
• Transcribe physician orders in absence of CPOE/EMR.
• Verify lab and radiology orders are completed and documented.
• Prepare patient charts and assemble daily records.
