BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital - WJMC Campus in Marrero, LA is seeking a Cardiac Monitor Tech for night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role monitors patient heart rhythms via telemetry, detects rhythm variances, and supports the unit with administrative tasks.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and completion of a Monitor Technician Program. BLS is required; ACLS preferred. Prior monitor tech experience and rhythm recognition proficiency are expected.

• Recent monitor technician experience and ability to pass rhythm recognition exam with 80%+.

Rate of Pay:$13.52to$20.29(plus Shift Diffsas applicable)

WhatYoullBe Doing:

Here at BridgePoint the Cardiac Monitor Tech recognizes normal cardiac rhythm patterns, monitors heart rhythm pattern of patients to detect abnormal pattern variances using telemetry equipment; reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances. The Monitor Tech also observes screen of cardiac monitor and listens for alarm to identify abnormal variation in heart rhythm. In addition, the Cardiac Monitor Tech will also assist the unit with administrative duties.

Requirements:

Education:High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an approved Monitor Technician Program. Formal ECG or dysrhythmia class with a minimum of 20 hours' practicum required

Licenses/Certification:BLS required. ACLS preferred.

Experience:Recent monitor technician experience required and pass rhythm recognition exam with a minimum passing score of 80%
