The Monitor Technician provides support to the patient care delivery team by observing the heart rhythms of patients receiving cardiac monitoring. The Technician maintains alarm parameters established by the physician and notifies the Registered Nurse of critical changes in patient cardiac rhythms, as per telemetry communication protocol for Centralized Telemetry. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, collaborating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Demonstrates the competencies established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.
Potential exposure to blood‑borne pathogens and infectious diseases; requires considerable standing, reaching, walking, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Reports to Nursing through the Director of Clinical Logistics/Patient Flow.
