Job summary

UNC Health Rex is seeking a Clinical Nurse II for the 7 HV Cardiac Medicine Intermediate Care unit in Raleigh. This Full-Time role provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with heart failure, dysrhythmias, myocardial infarctions, and peri-procedural needs in a high-acuity environment.

You will work with a collaborative team, pursue specialty certification, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of nursing experience.
• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years and obtain a Bachelor's or Master's degree within seven years of employment date.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary team to promote continuity of care.
• Prioritize tasks and manage care for patients with complex cardiac conditions.
• Support education and discharge planning for patients and families.
