Job summary

UNC Health REX is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse II for the 7 HV Cardiac Medicine Unit on the 7th floor of the Heart and Vascular Hospital. This full-time position offers care for adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac conditions in a 24-bed intermediate care setting.

You will work within a collaborative interdisciplinary team, providing evidence-based nursing care, monitoring cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics, and assisting with pre-/post-procedure care in a high-acuity

Qualifications

• Experienced cardiac or acute care nurse.
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac conditions.
• Collaborative interdisciplinary team approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac conditions.
• Assess, monitor, and manage patient status, including cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and response to treatment.
• Care for patients before and after cardiac and vascular procedures, as well as those admitted with medical cardiac conditions.
• Safely administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips and therapies, in accordance with policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians.
