Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for the outpatient Heart and Vascular Office. The PER DIEM MA will support patients and providers in a fast-paced cardiac-focused specialty, handling rooming, vital signs, procedures, specimens, and precise EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience is required.
• Knowledge of medical assisting normally associated with obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance is preferred.
• National Certification as a Medical Assistant a plus.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare exam/treatment rooms.
• Take vital signs and document patient history and medications.
• Assist with procedures and collect specimens.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Prepare rooms and help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the day.
• Coordinate patient flow and assist with front office tasks like scheduling and calls.
