Job summary

Lexeo Therapeutics, a New York City-based biotech, is seeking a Research Associate I/II to support its iPSC-derived cardiomyocyte platform and contribute to discovery and preclinical programs. This role involves hands-on cellular and molecular assays, assay development, and data generation under the Cardiac Research leadership.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining strict records and collaborating with the Preclinical team to advance genetic heart disease therapies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cell biology, molecular biology, pharmacology, or related field with 1–3 years of lab experience.
• Hands-on experience culturing iPSC and differentiation to cardiomyocytes/neurons.
• Experience with ddPCR, qPCR, semi-quantitative PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, flow cytometry, and fluorescence microscopy.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and onsite in NYC HQ.

Responsibilities

• Generate and validate cellular knockdown and overexpression models.
• Culture and maintain human iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and other mammalian cells aseptically.
• Perform ddPCR, qPCR, conventional PCR, gel electrophoresis, Western blotting, and ELISA.
• Maintain complete laboratory records and contribute to SOP development.
• Analyze data and prepare concise summaries for Preclinical team.
