Job summary

The Cardiac Specialty Unit (CSU) at FirstHealth of the Carolinas is an intermediate unit focused on pre- and post-procedural cardiac care, including NSTEMI and chest pain requiring interventions. Nurses on CSU participate in bedside procedures, manage arterial access devices, and monitor patient status to promote optimal outcomes.

Candidates must hold a NC RN license or a compact state RN license and have BCLS; ACLS certification is expected. Experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License.
• BCLS required.
• Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-procedural care for CSU patients, including NSTEMI and chest pain requiring cardiac interventions.
• Titrate cardiac drips and manage dysrhythmias; participate in bedside procedures and arterial access management.
• Maintain ACLS certification and support a fast-paced, team-oriented cardiac unit.
