Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians in Georgia is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for inpatient cardiac night shifts at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Conyers. The role involves evaluating cardiology patients, taking histories, performing exams, and collaborating with physicians.

Requires PA or NP credentials, Georgia license, and national board certification. ACLS/BCLS along with appropriate state credentials are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor's degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification.
• Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification.
• Active clinical credentials in APRN or PA practice as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of Cardiology patients in an inpatient setting.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data in the patient’s record.
• Write progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summaries.
• Prepare patient workups and orders for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Schedule and coordinate procedures as direct patient care is delivered.
• Collaborate with Physicians and other Cardiology AP Providers in a team.
