Job summary

Baylor The Heart Hospital Dallas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac ICU. You will oversee patient care, perform detailed assessments, and develop care plans for post-cardiotomy and interventional cardiac patients.

Minimum 1 year of ICU RN experience is required. Internal candidates welcome; external candidates may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Shifts are 7a-7p, three 12-hour days, with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• RN license must be active or be obtained prior to start.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification or able to obtain within 30 days of starting.
• 1 year of true, recent ICU RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and develop care plans for ICU patients.
• Prioritize patient and family needs and document learning needs.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members about care options.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate with the care team to ensure safety and quality.
