Job summary

Pulse Heart Institute at MultiCare in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Cardiac Staff RN for a float pool role. This per diem position supports multiple departments with 10‑hour shifts and on‑call duties. A Bachelor's in Nursing and WA RN licensure are required, with advanced degrees and certifications preferred.

You will utilize your nursing knowledge to provide high‑quality care, collaborate across teams, and contribute to patient-centric outcomes in a state‑of‑the‑art cardiac program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five years from the hire date; RN with 15+ years may be considered.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or MLS endorsement.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification as required by department.
• Three years of recent experience in acute care setting.
• Advanced nursing degree preferred; specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating continuously.
• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process per hospital policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality, patient experience and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families and staff.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.
