Job summary

Ascension is seeking an on-site RN for the Cardiac Stepdown Progressive Care Float at Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN. The role focuses on executing care plans, monitoring patient status, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and fulfilling physician/nursing orders.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with Tennessee Board of Nursing prior to hire.
• ACLS and BLS required prior to hire.
• Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Care Plan Execution: Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure treatment is progressing as intended.
• Condition Monitoring: Observe, record, and communicate changes in a patient's condition to the appropriate parties.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Act as a central coordinator across all medical disciplines to ensure patient care remains well-coordinated.
• Order Fulfillment: Attend to and accurately carry out all medical orders provided by physicians and nursing staff.
• Needs Assessment: Evaluate and coordinate a patient’s ongoing care needs in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.

Education

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
