Job summary

US Heart & Vascular in Houston, TX is seeking a Full-Time Cardiac Exercise Technician at Memorial Cardiology Associates. The role involves performing cardiac testing, attaching electrodes, and recording vitals while supporting clinicians in critical care events. Monday-Friday schedule with travel up to 50% as needed.

The ideal candidate has an associates degree, CPR certification, and reliable transportation. Prior IV or cardiac experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment and department inventory.
• Assist in training new personnel and schedule management.

Job Details: Job Location: MKC - Memorial City - Houston, TX 77043, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: Associates Degree, Travel Percentage: Up to 50% , Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Other Positions, US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Full-Time Cardiac Exercise Technician to join our team at Memorial Cardiology Associates in Houston, TX

Responsibilities:

• Explains testing procedures to patients and obtains consent form.
• Attaches electrodes to patient's arms, legs, and chest area.
• Places IV for patient exam.
• Starts electrocardiograph and records vitals data.
• Informs the technologist of wave abnormalities on electrocardiogram.
• Lends support to Advanced Practitioner and Nuclear Medicine Technologist during critical care events.
• Creates PDF of completed EKG exam.
• Uploads exam to patient chart and PACS system.
• Documents patient vitals for final report.
• Cleans, adjusts, and performs routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintains accurate inventory of materials and supplies.
• Verifies patient appointments the day before, confirms appointment time and location.
• Assists in the training of new personnel.
• Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing,
• Assists in maintaining department volume and productivity through schedule management.
• Escorts patients to check-out.
• Performs all other duties as required.
