Job summary

US Heart and Vascular seeks a Cardiac Exercise Physiologist to join Cardiology Specialist of Acadiana in Lafayette, LA. The EP will assess, plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care exercise programs, collaborating with physicians, nursing and other disciplines to ensure safe and cost-effective care.

The role emphasizes education, protocol-based progression, telemetry monitoring, and documentation in patient portals and care plans, with a Monday–Friday schedule and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field.
• Active ACLS certification.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology with concentration in cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Prescribes, educates and instructs patients on exercises per ACSM/AACVPR/AHA guidelines.
• Adjusts testing and exercise prescriptions based on barriers and high-risk groups.
• Maintains extensive knowledge of exercise physiology and monitors patient telemetry sessions.
