Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology required.
• ACSM-CEP preferred, required for stress testing.
• BLS HCP from AHA required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs exercise and/or pharmacological stress testing following ACSM/AHA/ACC guidelines and department policies.
• Assess patient suitability for stress testing by reviewing H&P, labs, and prior tests; coordinate with Cardiologist.
• Explain procedures, verify orders, and confirm patient identity.
• Assist with transferring patients and positioning for safety and performance.
• Recognize ECG changes and arrhythmias pre-, during, and post-test to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Communicate abnormal results to physician and staff; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Cross-train with related staff as required.
