Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with heart rhythm disorders.
  • Perform diagnostic electrophysiology procedures.
  • Conduct catheter-based electrophysiology procedures and ablations.
  • Implant and manage pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices.
  • Provide outpatient EP consultations and longitudinal care.
  • Provide inpatient EP coverage and collaborate with cardiology teams.
  • Develop treatment plans for complex arrhythmias with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain clinical documentation and participate in quality initiatives.

Job description

HealthYes Staffing Network is recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join an established, hospital-employed cardiovascular program in Southeast Alabama.

The incoming physician will join two experienced EP Cardiologists and three advanced practice providers serving a large referral network across Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Comprehensive general, interventional, surgical, and hospitalist support allows the Electrophysiologist to focus primarily on EP procedures and heart-rhythm care.

Experienced physicians and fellows completing Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology training in 2027 are encouraged to apply.

  • Published clinic hours of Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Procedural Scope

The program supports a comprehensive range of electrophysiology services, including:

  • Diagnostic electrophysiology studies
  • Right- and left-sided cardiac ablations
  • Atrial fibrillation ablation
  • Ventricular tachycardia ablation
  • Pacemaker implantation and management
  • Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator placement and management
  • Cardiac resynchronization therapy
  • Heart-failure device implantation and management
  • Long-term treatment of complex cardiac-rhythm disorders
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with atrial fibrillation, ventricular arrhythmias, bradycardia, tachycardia, syncope, and other heart-rhythm disorders
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology procedures
  • Conduct catheter-based cardiac ablations
  • Implant and manage pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices, and other cardiac devices
  • Provide outpatient electrophysiology consultations and longitudinal care
  • Provide appropriate inpatient consultation and procedural coverage
  • Collaborate with general cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, hospitalists, radiologists, and APPs
  • Develop evidence-based treatment plans for complex arrhythmias
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in applicable quality, safety, and performance-improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship
  • Completion or anticipated completion of a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship
  • Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Board certified or board eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
  • Eligible for an unrestricted Alabama medical license
  • Eligible for appropriate hospital and procedural privileges
  • Current EP fellows graduating in 2027 are encouraged to apply
  • Strong procedural, communication, and multidisciplinary-care skills
Compensation and Benefits
  • Estimated annual compensation of $600,000–$800,000

The compensation range is an estimate based on current Cardiac Electrophysiology market benchmarks and comparable permanent opportunities. The final base salary, productivity model, and total compensation package will depend on training, experience, procedural capabilities, anticipated volume, and the employer’s approved offer.
