Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL is seeking an EKG Tech for PRN coverage. You will perform electrocardiograms, monitor heart rhythms, and handle related clerical tasks in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include administering standard EKGs, Holter hookups, rhythm analysis, and reporting changes to staff, plus managing test data and records. Qualifications require a Basic EKG Course and 1 year of experience; BLS/ACLS certification within 30 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Basic EKG Course and 1 year of experience.
• BLS or Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and ability to read cardiac tracings.

Responsibilities

• Electrocardiogram (EKG) Testing: Administering standard EKGs, Holter monitor hook-ups, and signal average EKGs.
• Rhythm Interpretation: Analyzing cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias and reporting critical changes to nursing or medical staff.
• Department Operations: Managing computer processing of test data, filing records, and handling internal communications.
