The EKG technician will regularly interact with nursing staff, AMET, physicians and other EKG technicians to coordinate and perform

Qualifikationen

• Six months of experience related to direct patient care or customer service in a hospital setting.
• Completion of an accredited cardiovascular technology, paramedic or medical assisting program.

Aufgaben

• Perform diagnostic electrocardiograms.
• Position and connect leads from electrocardiograph machines to electrodes on specified body areas.
• Review patients' records and instruct patients prior to the procedure.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report abnormal findings.
• Identify and correct wandering, interference and artifacts.
• Edit and forward results to the attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
• Maintain EKG equipment and supplies.
