Job summary

Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital is seeking a Part time EKG Technician to perform non-invasive cardiac EKG tests for inpatients and outpatients. The role emphasizes accurate test data handling and collaboration with physicians and allied professionals in a multi-facility Intermountain network.

You will perform Holter and stress tests, maintain test records, and ensure patient safety and comfort, while adhering to department protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Must take and pass the Intermountain Healthcare EKG course and pass off associated skills within four months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive cardiac EKG tests on inpatients and outpatients per department protocol.
• Complete studies within accepted time limits and ensure proper documentation and charge entry.
• Maintain equipment and report variances affecting function.
• Respond to calls and notify physicians of critical values.
• Ensure correct patient identification and provide patient education as needed.
• Administer EKG tests including Holter, ambulatory telemetry, blood pressure monitoring, stress testing, and EKGs.
