Job summary

FCCI is seeking a full-time echo/vascular technologist proficient in echocardiograms, stress echo, carotid duplex, PVR, venous duplex and abdominal vascular studies.

Required are an Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or graduation from an accredited ultrasonography program, ARDMS/CCI with RCS, and 1–4+ years CV ultrasound experience. Must be organized with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Requires ARDMS or CCI registration (RCS).
• Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program.
• 1–4+ years of cardiovascular ultrasound experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms to assess heart function and detect abnormalities.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure proper function.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Review preliminary results and highlight abnormalities for cardiology review.
• Record and store images and patient data in the records system.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare team for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals during procedures and ensure well-being.
• Maintain continuing education in echocardiography technology and practices.
• Provide support to patients and families during diagnostic procedures.
