Job summary

Panoramic Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform diagnostic sonographic examinations and record results. You will coordinate tests, maintain logs, and ensure equipment readiness for patient studies.

Responsibilities include calibrating equipment, preparing exam rooms, and explaining procedures to patients while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality. You will work closely with physicians to identify abnormalities and provide preliminary interpretations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have 2-year Allied Health degree.
• Completed an approved 1-year Ultrasound Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
• Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs.
• Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed.
• Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results.
• Explains ultrasound equipment and procedures to patients.
• Prepares ultrasound equipment and exam rooms for examinations.
• Adheres to HIPAA requirements, including strict confidentiality of patient information and testing.
• Alerts referring medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attention.
• Operates equipment under authorized diagnostic approaches and practices.
• Problem-solves and makes decisions regarding patient testing.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
