Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms: prepares the patient for testing, performs the appropriate test and provides data/results to the cardiologist with minimal supervision.
• Prepares a preliminary report for the reading physician as per schedule.
• Performs a diagnostic quality echocardiogram with comprehensive interrogation of cardiac anatomy in patients of all ages.
• Assists with transesophageal, epicardial and intracardiac echocardiographic studies.
• Maintains equipment and room readiness, orders supplies, and supports performance improvement activities.
