Job summary

Riverside Health System is looking for a non-registered Echo Technologist to perform cardiac sonography examinations under the supervision of a credentialed sonographer in a hospital or office setting.

You will learn to assess patient data, assist in interpretation, and provide preliminary impressions as appropriate while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS Certification required on hire
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with an Adult Echocardiography specialty (RDCS-AE) within 1 year required
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or equivalent within 2 years if cross training
• RDCS certification in Pediatric Echocardiography within 1 year preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac sonography examinations.
• Produces quality images following protocols.
• Maintains clinical documentation per scope of practice.
• Educates patients/families regarding the procedure.
• Positions the patient and completes the procedure.
• Adheres to safety and quality standards; follows departmental policies.
• Complies with regulatory and accrediting standards.
• Follows Riverside Health System policies.
• Reports variances and maintains effective documentation.
