Qualifications

• Education Program Graduate, Accredited Sonography Program (Preferred) or Associates Degree, Accredited Sonography Program (Preferred) or Bachelors Degree, Accredited Sonography Program (Preferred)
• Experience 1 year Imaging experience (Preferred)
• Licenses and Certifications CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required) RDCS-AE - ARDMS Within 1 Year(Required) or RCS - CCI Within 2 years of hire if cross training as a sonographer, or 1 year from graduating from an accredited program within 1 Year(Required) and RDCS pediatric within 1 Year(Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac sonography examinations.
• Produces quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures.
• Provides and maintains clinical documentation per scope of practice.
• Educates patients/families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
• Positions the patient and completes the procedure.
• Demonstrates commitment to safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of departmental policies, procedures, and resource documents.
• Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards.
• Follows RHS policies and procedures.
• Reports variances.
• Provides effective and efficient assessment, actions, and documentation.
