Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Aurora, CO is seeking an experienced Echo Technician to perform echocardiograms and assess cardiac structures in line with practice standards.

You will review orders, educate patients, select transducers, ensure image quality, and document results in a fast-paced, onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program OR Associate’s degree in allied health OR a Bachelor’s degree in any area.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by ARDMS, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI. BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs echocardiography procedures and analyzes images.
• Reviews patient history and physician orders; educates patient about procedures and expectations; ensures quality of exam.
• Maintains safety standards, conducts quality control, and documents scan results.
