Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati seeks a Cardiac Sonographer Registered at West Hospital to perform diagnostic echocardiography, including TTE, TEE and stress tests, for evaluating heart function.

The role requires an associates degree in a cardiovascular technology field (preferred), BLS, and credentialing (RDCS or RCS). EPIC EHR and PACS experience are favorable, with on‑call duties included.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology (preferred).
• BLS certification is required by the American Heart Association.
• Credentialed in echocardiography: RDCS or RCS.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer (preferred).
• EPIC EHR experience and PACS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound testing equipment to evaluate the heart.
• Demonstrates ability to proficiently perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Utilizes the hospital EMR to review patient information and document any critical findings.
• On call hours required.
