Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and assist in analyzing cardiovascular conditions. You will operate ultrasound equipment, capture high-quality cardiac images, and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.

A strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and clear communication with the care team are essential skills for delivering accurate diagnostic services.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound/echo program.
• Ability to obtain listed professional registrations on hire (CCI/RDCS/RDMS).
• CPR/BLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography and ultrasound per physician orders to obtain high-quality cardiac images.
• Educate patients by explaining procedures and reviewing medical histories while ensuring comfort.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to maintain performance.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergent situations, and document findings for physician interpretation.
• Maintain clinical data and records to support timely diagnosis and care.
• Support clinic operations including scheduling, records, inventory, and team communication.
