Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking an echocardiography technician to perform echocardiograms and contribute to patient care. The role involves acquiring patient information, explaining testing procedures, and ensuring accurate image data for interpretation by the cardiologist.

The candidate should have two years of ultrasound/cardiovascular experience and complete an accredited echocardiography program or equivalent education. Certification paths are noted to be obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• Two years of ultrasound/cardiovascular experience.
• Completion of an accredited echocardiography program or equivalent education/experience.
• NCDDS ARDMS registration to be obtained upon hire.
• National Certification from CCI to be obtained upon hire.
• National Provider BLS – AHA to be obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms to assess heart function.
• Obtain pertinent patient information and explain testing purpose/duration.
• Review image data and calculations for interpreting provider.
• Provide other diagnostic testing defined by scope of practice.
