Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka in Eureka, CA is seeking an Echocardiograph Technologist to join our Cardiac Imaging team on a full-time, 12-hour day shift.

Under the direction of the Department Director, the Echo Tech performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging across age groups and serves as a clinical/technical resource for colleagues. We offer a supportive, patient-centered environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a cardiac echocardiography program approved by the AMA Committee or equivalent training.
• National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) certification upon hire.
• National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging according to department standards for all patients (infant to geriatric).
• Serves as a customer service representative to patients, families, the public, and medical staff.
• Participates in quality control and organizational improvement activities.
• Provides clinical/technical assistance and mentorship to less experienced sonographers.

Education

Cardiac echocardiography program graduate (AMA approved)

NRDCS (ARDMS) certification upon hire

CCCI cardiovascular credentialing certification upon hire

BLS certification (AHA) upon hire
