Job summary

UNC Lenoir Health Care in Kinston, NC seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform echocardiograms, carotid Doppler studies, and transesophageal echocardiography, ensuring high-quality diagnostic care across age groups.

You will work in the Echo Cardiology unit, supporting physicians and patients with professional imaging, reproducible results, and compassionate care on a 40-hour daytime schedule onsite.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Background in related healthcare field (Cardiopulmonary or Ultrasound preferred).
• Two years' experience in an Ultrasound field preferred.
• Registered Ultrasound tech preferred; also prefer license by the state of North Carolina as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, working knowledge of VCR functions, math skills, anatomy and physiology of heart and related areas. Strong customer service focus. BCLS training required. Demonstrated understanding of patient care needs according to the developmental stages for various age groups.
