Qualifications

• Graduate with an associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited echocardiography program.
• Registered as a cardiac sonographer- RDCS or RCS.
• At least 1 year of previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with the cardiologist in the assessment and treatment of cardiac diseases.
• Performs diagnostic ultrasound testing including Doppler and three-dimensional imaging.
• Assists the cardiologist with 2D & 3D transesophageal echocardiograms.

Skills

Knowledge of aseptic technique

Knowledge of EKG rhythms

Ability to use Electronic Medical Records

IV insertion proficiency within 6 months

Education

Associates or bachelor's degree from accredited echocardiography program

Registered as a cardiac sonographer (RDCS or RCS)
