Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Less than 1 Year of Experience.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Reg Diag Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performing cardiac ultrasound procedures and making necessary measurements.
• Identifying cardiac abnormalities and extending the scope of examinations as necessary.
• Maintaining and reporting on Echocardiography Lab equipment.

Skills

Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology

Ability to explain procedures to patients

Knowledge of clinical protocols for cardiovascular ultrasounds

Skilled utilization of computers and medical equipment

Education
