Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO. This part-time role involves performing diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams for recent graduates or those new to the field under physician supervision. 30 hours weekly with 10-hour days and on-call shifts.

Essential functions include coordinating exams, ensuring patient safety, documenting results, and mentoring staff. Minimum qualifications include ARDMS/CCI and BLS; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac/vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams and coordinate with medical staff.
• Prepare patients, educate families, and transport for exams.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and communicate needs to physicians.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
• Document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes.
