Job summary

Torrance-Memorial-Medical-Center is seeking an Echo Technician II to perform ultrasound examinations of the heart and related vessels, including 2D and M-Mode echo cardiology and color-flow Doppler studies. These procedures are performed on all adults and interpreted by a physician.

Experience: 3 years in adult echocardiography. Licensure: RDMS or RDMS eligible. This is an on-site role at the Torrance, CA campus.

Qualifications

• Performs echo studies on adult patients as ordered and per protocol.

Responsibilities

• Performs echo studies including 2D, M-Mode and color-flow Doppler.
• Prepares studies for physician interpretation and accurate measurements of cardiac structures.
• Completes daily logs and paperwork accurately.
• Covers for Ultrasound Sonographer as needed.
• Maintains patient safety, confidentiality and environment.
