Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program OR Associate’s degree in allied health OR a Bachelor’s degree in any area.
• BLS Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association) or equivalent.
• 1 year experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding.
• Independently performs echocardiography procedures and selects transducers according to anatomy.
• Sets expectations for patient receipt of exam results and reports results.
• Implements safety standards and quality control; troubleshoots equipment malfunctions.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates any changes.
