Job summary

Dignity Health - Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA seeks an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and related cardiovascular imaging. You will operate ultrasound equipment, ensure patient comfort, and conduct a range of echocardiographic studies to support cardiology diagnoses.

Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and proficient technical and communication skills are essential; state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience performing 2-D, M-Mode, and Color Flow Doppler Echo in adults.
• Graduate of a Cardiac Echo ultrasound program.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required.
• RDMS or RDCS or RDCS family credentials required.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCDS) or equivalent credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data.
• Ensure patient comfort and perform range of echocardiographic studies.
• Select proper probes and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Assist cardiologists with interpretation of studies.
