Job summary

Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, AZ is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to support the Cardiology Non-Invasive team. You will perform specialized ultrasound imaging of the heart, ensuring high-quality studies and timely preliminary findings for physicians.

The ideal candidate holds ARDMS/CCI certification or eligibility, BLS, and 1–2 years of clinical echocardiography experience. This full-time role requires live proximity to the facility and may include night, holiday, and weekend call.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Allied Health Cardiovascular program.
• ARDMS or CCI Cardiac Sonographer certification.
• BLS certification.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders and uses independent judgment.
• Oversees echocardiographic services ensuring quality of performance and compliance with ASE/IAC guidelines.
• Educates patients/families regarding procedures and expected outcomes.
• Obtains high quality images and provides preliminary findings to supervising physicians and cardiologists.
• Maintains equipment quality control and safe operation of the echocardiography lab.
