Job summary

University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an Adult Echo (Cardiac) Sonographer to perform ultrasound studies of the heart, including 2-D, M-mode, Doppler and color interrogation. The role involves patient ultrasound imaging and participation in research efforts within the Cardiology division.

The ideal candidate has training in cardiac sonography, experience with GE/Philips systems, and a background in ultrasound technology. This is a research-teaching environment at UCSF.

Qualifications

• Two years of college, preferably with courses in physiology, psychology and electronics.
• One year of experience in diagnostic ultrasound technology.
• Successful completion of a traineeship in ultrasonic technology; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
