Job summary

University Hospitals in Willoughby, OH seeks a Cardiac Sonographer II to perform comprehensive echocardiographic exams in the main lab and satellite offices. Responsibilities include 3D/strain echo, Doppler, and occasional TEE, with a focus on high-quality imaging and patient safety.

The position requires 2+ years of echo experience, strong cardiac pathology knowledge, and a credentialed sonography program. ASE membership is preferred; mentorship and teaching duties are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Cardiovascular Technology or Cardiac Sonography program (Required).
• 2+ years echo experience, preferably in tertiary care (Required).
• ASE membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive echocardiographic exams (including m‑Mode, 2‑D, Doppler, TEE if applicable) per lab standards.
• Performs 3D and strain echocardiography.
• Maintains competency across patient types (ICU/OR/ER).
• Mentors students and fellows; participates in rounds and conferences.
• Completes accurate documentation for proper billing and data integrity.
