Job summary

Concord Hospital in New Hampshire seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform transthoracic and stress echocardiograms and assist with transesophageal exams, delivering high-quality cardiac assessments.

The role requires ARDMS/CCI registry within 2 years, BLS certification, state licensure, and 6–12 months of Cardiac Ultrasonography experience. You will document data, manage workflow, and participate in billing and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Two years of formal training or education beyond high school in Cardiac Ultrasonography.
  • BLS certification required.
  • State licensure for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required.
  • Experience in Cardiac Ultrasonography (6–12 months) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) exams.
  • Performs stress echocardiogram (STEC) exams.
  • Assists physicians with transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) exams.
  • Documents and maintains patient and test data.
  • Manages time and workload fluctuations.
  • Assesses patients and adapts to changing clinical situations.
  • Completes billing for tests performed.
  • Utilizes and maintains departmental and hospital equipment.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for individual performance goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary

Produces ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures for use by Physician in diagnosis and study of heart disease.

Education

Two years of formal training or education beyond the high school level, in Cardiac Ultrasonography.

Certification, Registration, and Licensure

Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.

Registration required to obtain: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registry in accordance with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) guidelines within 2 years of hire and maintained thereafter.

State licensure for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy is required.

Experience

Experience in Cardiac Ultrasonography is required, will consider clinical days/time as experience, minimum of 6 to 12 months
